Homemade Granola bars!

Our family has a new tradition of making these fabulous granola bars swiped from Do it yourselves Diva blog !! Not only do the kids enjoy them Charlie loves to snack on them after a crazy Insanity workout! I love that you can add ingredients or leave out things you don’t like. I love to add things like almonds and seeds for the extra essential fatty acids!

2 cups quick oats
1 cup organic or all natural peanut butter (opt OUT for non-hydrogenated oils, or excess added sugar)
1 cup honey (Raw honey preferable)
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup dried cranberries or raisins
1 cup ground flax
almonds (optional)
Mix all ingredients together and stir until well blended.  Spread mixture onto a cookie sheet or pan and refrigerate until ready to serve.  Store in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks or freeze for later use.
